With Creative Miss at the top of the list, Michigan's leading 2005 state-bred horses were announced by state racing commissioner Christine White March 11 during the Michigan Horse Council's International Stallion Expo at the Michigan State University Agriculture Pavilion in East Lansing.
Creative Miss received the state's Horse of the Year honors. As a 3-year-old filly, she garnered four straight stakes victories at Great Lakes Downs. She has won five of eight career starts with one third-place effort for earnings of $164,797.
Creative Miss runs as a homebred for Todd and Carol Weddon of Vicksburg, Mich. Conditioned by Scott Sowle of Erlanger, KY, her primary jockey in 2005 was Mary Doser. Out of JP's Big Girl, Creative Miss is a daughter of Creative.
