Wildfire March 13. According to Stevens' Web site, the two-time Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner plays jockey Augie French in "Break Down," episode 2009 of the drama's second season. Jason London and singer Aidan Hawken also guest star in the program.
In "Break Down," main character Kris Furillo (Genevive Cortese) must go head-to-head with Wildfire's new rider (Stevens) to keep her promise and ride another horse in an upcoming race. When a pile-up occurs, injuring several horses, Kris is afraid that she may have been the cause of the accident and loses faith in her riding abilities.
According to Stevens' manager, Kelly Weitsma, Stevens was invited to make another appearance on the show's season finale, but turned down the invitation because of prior commitments. The former jockey plans to return to the show as his schedule permits.
"I had a great time with the cast and crew of
Wildfire," said Stevens, "and I definitely would love to work with them again."
The show is ABC Family's highest rated original series. One-hour episodes air Mondays from 8 to 9 p.m. ET.
