Ramon Dominguez became the second jockey of the Aqueduct winter meet to win five races in one day Thursday afternoon.

Dominguez capped his day by riding Safe Signal ($6.60) to victory in the ninth race, sweeping the late daily double. Earlier he won the third with Devil's Last Dance ($5.90); the fifth with Commander Man ($7.10); the sixth with Fort Carillon ($9.70) and the eighth with No Sleep ($2.80).

The five victories move Dominguez to within three wins of leading rider Eibar Coa, who holds an 80-77 lead. Coa also enjoyed a five-win day at Aqueduct on Jan. 25.
