Grade II-Winning Mare Last Song Retired

Grade II winner Last Song has been retired from racing and is booked to
A.P. Indy.
A 5-year-old daughter of
Unbridled's Song , Last Song scored her big win in the 2004 Bonnie Miss Stakes (gr. II) over Society Selection at Gulfstream Park and won last year's Ajina Stakes at Belmont Park. Also in 2004, she was third to Madcap Escapade and Ashado in the Ashland Stakes (gr. I) and finished a half-length behind the winner in the Davona Dale Stakes (gr. II) while fourth.
Bred in Kentucky by Katalpa Farm, Last Song retired with five wins from 17 starts and earnings of $336,483. Her dam, Queen of Spirit (by Deputy Minister), is a half-sister to grade I winner Tactile and to the dam of graded stakes winner Brushing Gloom. Tactile's grandsire, Seattle Slew, is the sire of A.P. Indy.
Last Song is boarded at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington.
