Colorado TBA Announces 2005 State-bred Champions

The Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders Association named Cocoa Latte its 2005 Horse of the Year March 4 at Arapahoe Park near Aurora, Colo.

The son of Demidorf was bred by Linda Wood of Menoken Farms. He has earned $121,283.

Other honors went to champion stallion Cash Deposit. Owned by Hecky Heckendorf, the son of Deposit Ticket has progeny earnings of $131,071.

In addition, Harry Veruchi was the state's leading owner with 2005 racetrack earnings of $120,646, and Willard Burbach won the title of best breeder with earnings of $306,188.
