John Franks Juvenile Auction Set for March 13

The fourth annual John Franks Memorial 2-year-olds in training and paddock sale will offer a record 174 horses in its catalogue. There will be 139 two-year-olds and 35 horses of other ages.

The 2006 sale will be conducted over two sessions at Evangeline Downs Race Track and Casino in Louisiana on March 13, beginning at noon (CST).

A gallop show will be held on March 12, also starting at noon.

The sale offers a pair of $100,000 races restricted to 2-year-olds who pass through the sales ring -- one division for colts and geldings and the other for fillies. They will be run in August at Evangeline Downs.
