The High Hope Steeplechase has moved its office to the Maker's Mark Secretariat Center – a Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation facility.
The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation will now become a major beneficiary of High Hope, along with Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and the Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy. With steeplechasing being a discipline for Thoroughbred Racehorses, it is thought to be apt for High Hope to operate from the Secretariat Center at the Kentucky Horse Park.
"We are delighted to have the High Hope use this great TRF facility" said Fred Winters, the Operations Manager of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation "and it can only benefit both parties to have the High Hope office here."
High Hope president Michelle Primm added, "We are very excited about our liaison with the TRF and will do all we can to help promote this wonderful facility and the adoption of retired racehorses."
This year marks the 40th anniversary of High Hope, which will be held May 21 at the Kentucky Horse Park, and plans are in the works for a spectacular day of racing. Pat Day will be the celebrity guest, and Chris McCarron will ride in the Ashford-Coolmore Sportsman's Challenge.
The new High Hope telephone number is 859-967-9444 (Fax: 859- 246-3082).
