Equine Herpesvirus Forum To Be Held Tuesday in Maryland

In an effort to bring all interested and affected parties together, an equine herpesvirus forum has been organized by the Fair Hill Training Center (FHTC) and is scheduled for 5 p.m. (EST) Feb. 21 at the Edward L. Walls Activity Center, Cecil County Fairgrounds, Route 273 in Elkton, Md. Guest speakers will include Dr. Robert Holland from Lexington; E.S. Rusty Ford from Turfway Park; and representatives from the Maryland Department of Agriculture. All horsemen and veterinarians are encouraged to attend this meeting at which the disease process, optimum management and current racing protocols to limit the disease will be discussed.
