She Says It Best, winner of the 2005 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. II), has been sold privately after being retired from competition following an injury. The price was $500,000, according to Carl Bowling, who bred the 3-year-old daughter of Stormy Atlantic and campaigned her with trainer Vickie Foley and partners.

Reynolds Bell Jr. Thoroughbred Services purchased She Says It Best for a partnership that was represented in the transaction by Randy Gullatt, the manager of Steve Davison's Twin Creeks Farm near Versailles, Ky.

She Says It Best, who suffered a slab fracture in her left front knee on Jan. 21 during a workout at Gulfstream Park, had been scheduled to be sold during the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale in Lexington Feb. 12 and 13.

She Says It Best captured four of her eight career races and earned $382,918. She won the Anna M. Fisher Debutante Stakes at Ellis Park and finished second in the Golden Rod Stakes (gr. II) and the Pepsi Bassinet Stakes.
