Ray Tromba resigned as vice president of racing operations at Harrah's Louisiana Downs. He had been with the track for 19 years, serving in his current capacity since 2003.

"The most difficult part about leaving is saying good-bye to the team at Harrah's Louisiana Downs," Tromba said. They have been such a big part of my life. I will miss them very much, and I am confident that the property will continue to do very well."

"Throughout the years, Ray has helped establish Harrah's Louisiana Downs as one of the South's finest thoroughbred racetracks," said Patrick Dennehy, regional president and general manager of Harrah's Louisiana Downs & Horseshoe Casino & Hotel. "He has represented Harrah's Louisiana Downs well in the racing and local community. We thank him for his years of invaluable service to this property, and wish him and his family all the best."
