Jockey Chance Rollins Earns 2,000th Victory

Jockey Chance Rollins, among the leading riders on the Northern California circuit, won the 2,000th race of his career when he guided Cherryonthebottom to victory in the fifth race at Bay Meadows on Sunday.
Rollins, a 17-year veteran, was aboard the Paul Aguirre-trained 3-year-old
Albert the Great gelding for the first time. They won the six-furlong starter allowance race by 4 1/2 lengths.

Through Sunday, Rollins has 2,001 wins from 15,246 mounts and his horses have earnings of $20,711,171.
He finished seventh in the jockey standings at the just-concluded holiday meeting at Bay Meadows.
