Tampa Bay Cancels Live Racing Due to Storm

Tampa Bay Downs canceled live racing on Feb 3 due to heavy rain and lightning.
"The cancellation was in the best interests of the horsemen, jockeys, horses and employees," said Peter Berube, vice president and general manager. "The frequent lightning strikes just made the decision to cancel very easy."
Live racing is to return with Saturday's program and the featured $60,000 Manatee Stakes.
