Newfoundland's first crop includes a colt born Jan. 28 at Ann Britt's Mare Gate Farm near Finchville, Ky. The colt is out of the winning Williamstown mare Marvel, whose dam is a half-sister to the stakes-winning dam of graded winner Silverfoot.
