First Winner for Breeders' Cup Winner Val Royal

Shuttle stallion Val Royal, winner of the 2001 Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT), was represented by his first winner when his daughter Lady Gwendyln won Jan. 22 at Launceston in Australia in her second start.

Royal Academy--Vadlava, by Bikala) stood the Southern Hemisphere at Eliza Park near Kerrie in the province of Victoria. He will stand the Northern Hemisphere season at Oak Lodge Stud in County Kildare, Ireland.
