In Summation, Calder Race Course's 2005 juvenile champion, and a couple of California breds with considerable promise, Da Stoops and Plagiarist, head a field of eight in the $250,000 Sunshine Millions Dash at Santa Anita Saturday.

Eventual Eclipse Award sprint champion Lost in the Fog won this race for 3-year-olds at six furlongs last year.

Trainer Bob Baffert's Da Stoops, named after Arizona football coach Mike Stoops, is coming off a powerful 8 ΒΌ -length win in the Dec. 26 California Breeders' Championship. Plagiarist turned heads in his only start, blazing six furlongs in 1:08 4/5 last month at Hollywood Park.

"It was as impressive as you can get," commented O'Neill, who trains the gelded son of Souvenir Copy.

Florida breds outnumber their California counterparts by a count of 5-3 in the Dash.
