McCarty Racing's 3-2 favorite Flame Of Love romped to a 10 1/2-length victory over her eight filly and mare rivals to win the $85,000 What A Summer Stakes Saturday at Laurel Park.

The Pennsylvania-bred Not For Love   mare shot to the lead under jockey Jozbin Santana, shook off a pesky Spirited Game around the turn, and drew away down the lane, completing the six-furlong distance in 1:10.36. Spirited Game held on for the place. See Alice finished third, 13 lengths behind the winner.

Flame of Love set fractions of :22 1/5 and :45 2/5.

Flame Of Love, who is trained by Scott Lake, paid $5, $3.20, and $3.80.

Spirited Game returned $7.40 and $6.60 as the exacta returned $34.60.

See Alice was $6.40 to show.
