Stakes Winner Outta Here Retired

Outta Here, who won the $500,000 Delta Jackpot Stakes as a 2-year-old, has been retired from racing because of a sesamoid injury, according to
Daily Racing Form. The injury occurred Dec. 20 during a workout at Hollywood Park.
Bred by Ralph C. Wilson Jr., Trustee, 6-year-old Outta Here won three of 28 races and earned $657,167 for owners William L. Currin, his trainer, and Alvin Eisman. In addition to winning the Delta Jackpot, he placed in six stakes, including the Swaps (gr. II) and Hollywood Juvenile Championship (gr. III) Stakes.
Outta Here (Dehere--Just Out, by Forty Niner) competed in the 2003 Kentucky Derby (gr. I). He prepped for the race in the group II U.A.E. Derby that March and finished fourth. He ran seventh in the Run for the Roses.
No decision has been reached as to where Outta Here will enter stud.
