Saarland were represented by their first foals as stallions. Perfect Soul's first foal is a Pennsylvania-bred colt born Jan. 17. Bred by Sez Who Thoroughbreds and Aron Yagoda, the colt is the second foal from the winning
Unbridled's Song mare Unbridled's Amour, whose dam is stakes winner Isn't She Lovely.
Perfect Soul (Sadler's Wells--Ball Chairman, by Secretariat) and Saarland stand at Darby Dan Farm (John Phillips, co-managing partner) near Lexington. Perfect Soul's 2006 fee is $15,000.
Saarland's first foal arrived Jan. 2 at Jeffry Morris' Highclere near Lexington. Bred by Mt. Joy Stables/Brian Burns, the newborn colt is the second foal from the winning
A.P. Indy mare Fapindy, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Silver Lace. Saarland (Unbridled--Versailles Treaty, by Danzig) stands in 2006 for $12,500.
