First Birdstone Foal Born at Overbrook

The first foal sired by 2004 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner
Birdstone was born Jan. 11 at the Young family's Overbrook Farm near Lexington. Bred by the farm, the newborn colt is the second foal from the
Cape Town mare Pat Hand, whose dam is grade II winner Pat Copelan.

Grindstone--Dear Birdie, by Storm Bird) stands at Gainesway Farm (Antony Beck, president) near Lexington. His 2006 fee is $10,000.
