The Equibase Company announced Friday it has reached an agreement with publishers of the
Daily Racing Form under which it will begin selling the electronic edition of the
Form immediately on its Website, equibase.com.
Hank Zeitlin, Equibase executive vice president, marketing and sales, said adding the Form's past performances to the products available on equibase.com is part of Equibase's goal of expanding Website content .
"When we re-launched equibase.com last August, we committed to offering a full range of handicapping products for every level of horseplayer," he said. "Today's agreement is another important step in that direction. "The full past performances found in the
Daily Racing Form are an ideal complement to the Equibase fan friendly race programs and supplements," he added. "They contain all the information the sophisticated racing fan needs and are a logical progression for those newer fans whose handicapping skills are being developed through our fan friendly product line."
The electronic DRF offerings on equibase.com can be customized by the user, who can select three or more race cards. In addition to the detailed past performances that include Beyer speed figures, the electronic DRF also includes graded entries, track records, analysis and selections.
"We are pleased to use our 104-year history and brand name strength and work with Equibase to better serve the interactive marketplace," said
Form senior vice president of development, Katherine Wilkins. "This agreement only strengthens our commitment to provide all racing fans with convenient access to the detailed past performance information they have come to rely on, and to expand our reach to the widest possible audience online."
