HRTV to Broadcast San Rafael From Santa Anita

HorseRacing TV will broadcast the $150,000 San Rafael Stakes (gr. II) from at Santa Anita Park during a half-hour show, presented by Gainesway, beginning at 6 p.m. EST Jan. 14.

The San Rafael, a one-mile event and one of the early season Kentucky Derby (gr. I) preps, will feature the return of Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. ) winner, Stevie Wonderboy, who is owned by Merv Griffin, trained by Doug O'Neill, and will be ridden by Garrett Gomez.

HRTV's Kurt Hoover and Millie Ball will serves as co-hosts of the show, which is devoted entirely to the San Rafael, while Peter Lurie and Sean McCarthy will handle reporting duties, and Jeff Siegel will supply handicapping analysis.

ESPNEWS will televise Saturday's race live courtesy of an HRTV feed.
