Maryland Jockey Club president Joe De Francis will now oversee customer relations, simulcasting, sponsorship, and HorseRacing TV for Magna Entertainment Corp., parent company of Laurel Park and Pimlico Race Course.

MEC purchased a majority interest in the Maryland Jockey Club several years ago, but De Francis remained in charge of the operation for the company. MEC vice chairman Dennis Mills told Daily Racing Form De Francis would continue to oversee Maryland operations for the company.

HRTV, based in Southern California, is a satellite and cable television network that broadcasts races from MEC-owned and other tracks in the United States.
