Doncaster Sales Likely to Remain at Present Location

Doncaster Bloodstock Sales, Britain's second biggest bloodstock auctioneer, is likely to remain selling in the Yorkshire town of Doncaster rather than relocate to either nearby York or the South of
This follows the go-ahead for the redevelopment of nearby Doncaster Racecourse after agreement between owner Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and Arena Leisure, which manages the track.
Doncaster Bloodstock Sales' present facilities, also owned by the council, have become dated and the company is keen to establish a new long-term sales complex from 2007.
Henry Beeby, managing director, reported: "We have been negotiating with Doncaster Council for a new sales complex next to the new racecourse stables which are being built closer to track. We are making progress and hopefully the decision will be finalised by the end of January."
