Portland Meadows Cancels Saturday Card

Low overnight temperatures and high winds resulted in the freezing of the racing surface at Portland Meadows, leading to the cancellation of live racing Dec. 17.
The card was planned as a celebration of Oregon racing with nearly $100,000 in purses up for grabs.
Oregon Championship Day is going to be rescheduled for Dec. 31.
Live racing is expected to resume Dec. 18 at 12:35 p.m. PST.
