Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort has canceled live racing for the evening of Dec. 13, the third consecutive day all or part of a program has been scrapped.

On Dec. 11, with snow and a temperature of 20 degrees at first post, three races were held before the program was canceled. The Dec. 12 program was then canceled as well.

A release from the West Virginia track said "inclement weather and track conditions" were responsible for the cancellations.

The final night of racing for this year is set for Dec. 27. The first racing program for 2006 is scheduled for Jan. 14. For the first two months of 2006, racing will be held four nights per week (Saturdays through Tuesdays), with nine races on each program.
