Alkaased to Stand for ¥2.5 Million

Alkaased, who won the Nov. 27 Japan Cup (Jpn-I) in world-record time to end his career, will begin his stallion career at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud Stallion Complex in Japan for a fee of ¥2.5 million (approximately $20,700), according to published reports in Japan.

Kingmambo is ¥900 million ($7.4 million), with each share worth ¥60 million ($124,000).
Alkaased, who was produced from the Niniski mare Chesa Plana, was bought by Darley Japan after the Japan Cup. He retired with six wins and earnings of $2,799,039.
