Read the Footnotes, who began his stallion career in 2005 at Becky Thomas' Sequel Stallions near Orange Lake, Fla., will stand the 2006 season at Lakland North near Hudson, N.Y., instead of at the Florida farm as previously announced. A 4-year-old son of
Smoke Glacken , Read the Footnotes covered 89 mares last breeding season. Lakland North is owned by Thomas and Lewis Lakin.
Read the Footnotes who was produced from the Al Nasr mare Baydon Belle, won the Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) as a 3-year-old and the Remsen (gr. II) and Nashua (gr. III) Stakes at two. For his career, he won five of eight starts and earned $450,660.
Read the Footnotes is owned by Thomas and Lakin in partnership with Dennis Narlinger and William Heiligbrodt. He will stand for the same $8,500 live foal that he stood for in 2005.
