Grade I winner
Prized and 4-year-old Prints of Peace will stand in 2006 at the Funkhouser family's O'Sullivan Farms near Charles Town, W.Va.
Prized, a 19-year-old son of Kris S., has sired 29 stakes winners, 35 stakes-placed runners, and the earners of $20.1 million. His added-money winners include grade II winners Brass Hat, Fun House, Prized Stamp, and Pisces, plus New Zealand champion Prized Gem. Prized, who has shuttled to New Zealand and Australia, last stood at Spendthrift Farm (Bruce Kline, president) near Lexington. Kline remains syndicate manager.
As a racehorse, Prized won the 1989 Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) in his grass debut and beat Sunday Silence in winning the Swaps Stakes (gr. II). Prized, who was produced from the My Dad George mare My Turbulent Miss, will stand for $3,500.
Prints of Peace, an unraced son of
Storm Cat out of the stakes-winning Hold Your Peace mare La Paz, is a half-brother to successful first-crop sire
Forest Camp and to graded stakes winner Spanish Empire. His fee is $1,000.
