Graded Winner Ground Storm to Pegasus

Graded stakes winner Ground Storm will enter stud at Thomas Dushas' Pegasus Farm near Dover Plains, N.Y., for a fee of $3,000.

Ground Storm, a $475,000 Keeneland April 2-year-old, twice captured the Stymie Handicap (once gr. III) at Aqueduct and placed in the stakes once. He ran second twice in the Aqueduct Handicap (gr. III) and was third in the Excelsior Breeders' Cup (gr. III) and Dominion Day (Can-III) Handicaps. He retired with 11 wins from 40 starts and earnings of $628,600.

A 9-year-old son of Summer Squall, Ground Storm is a half-brother to grade I winner Pompeii and grade III winner Omi. His dam, Flying Heat (by Private Account), is a stakes winner and grade II-placed.
