Grade II Winner Saint Afleet to Rising Hill

Saint Afleet, a grade II winner, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Jim and Sheila DiMare's Rising Hill Farm near Ocala, Fla. He is owned by Ronald C. Waranch and will stand for $5,000.

Racing as homebred for Waranch, Saint Afleet won this year's Palos Verdes Handicap (gr. II) and last year's $250,000 NATC Dash Stakes, both at Santa Anita. He retired with five wins from a dozen starts and earnings of $342,571.

Saint Afleet is by Northern Afleet  , whom Waranch raced in partnership, and is out of the Saint Ballado mare Saintly Silk. Northern Afleet is the sire of dual classic winner Afleet Alex.
