Purge, who won the Hill 'n' Dale Cigar Mile Handicap (gr. I) in his farewell race, will begin his stallion career for a fee of $20,000 at Dr. Tom Simon's Vinery near Lexington, Ky. The 4-year-old son of
Pulpit out of the Copelan mare Copelan's Bid Gal is expected to arrive later this week. He retired with six wins from 15 starts and earnings of $905,434.
