Siphon to Regal Heir in Pennsylvania

Siphon, whose son I'm the Tiger won the Nov. 19 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes (gr. I), has been relocated to Thomas Reigle's Regal Heir Farms near Grantville, Pa.

I'm the Tiger, who has won or placed in 14 of 16 races, is the second career grade I winner for syndicated Siphon. Fourteen-year-old Siphon also has sired grade I winner Siphonic, who placed in the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I), as well as grade II winner Siphonizer and grade III turf winner Sharp Impact. Another offspring, Siphonica, was a champion in Panama.

Siphon has career progeny earnings of $8 million. His 2005 progeny earnings of $2 million have placed him third on the Pennsylvania sire list.

Siphon, whose big wins came in the Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) and Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I), earned $3,136,428. The Brazilian-bred son of Itajara out of the Kublai Khan mare Ebrea will stand in 2006 for $6,500. He formerly stood at Brereton C. Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.
