1999 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Lemon Drop Kid worked five furlongs Thursday at Belmont Park in preparation for Tuesday's Suburban Handicap (gr. II), in which he will likely face Behrens. Lemon Drop Kid breezed the distance in :49 3/5 on a fast track. Behrens and Lager are the only other probable starters for the 1 1/4-mile Suburban, with Almutawakel considered possible.
