The first race for 2-year-olds was contested at Sunland Park March 4, and a colt by Devon Lane named
Devon's Prospect took advantage of six others to win a maiden special weight event by 7 3/4 lengths. Time for the four furlongs was :45.60. Devon's Prospect races for a partnership that includes S M S Racing and Henry Southway. Syndicated Devon Lane (Storm Cat--To the Hunt, by Relaunch) stands at Vessels Stallion Farm near Bonsall, Calif.
