Borrego, one of the best horses to race this year, will be back for next year. The 4-year-old
El Prado colt won this year's Pacific Classic Stakes (gr. I) and Jockey Club Gold (gr. I) in consecutive starts and placed in the Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) and Santa Anita (gr. I) Handicaps. Co-breeder/owner C. Beau Greely trains him for a partnership.
Borrego, who was produced from the Strike the Gold mare Sweet as Honey, has won or placed in 13 of 20 and earned $2 million.
