New Book of Horse-Related Cartoons Will Benefit Equine Research

The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation is now selling a customized, limited-edition book of equine-related cartoons, all of which have appeared in The New Yorker magazine. A special color section of the book features equine cartoons that appeared on covers of The New Yorker. The Cartoon Bank, a New Yorker Magazine company, is the world's leading licensor of magazine-style humor, with a growing list of more than 85,000 published and unpublished cartoons by many of the most popular panel cartoonists of all time. "This is a unique book and I think anyone with an appreciation for horses and humor will enjoy it," said Edward L. Bowen, president of Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. "Besides making an excellent gift or great addition to a personal library, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these books will benefit equine research funded by the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation."There are only 500 books available to be sold. The cover cartoon was created by noted author, writer and cartoonist William Hamilton, a regular contributor to The New Yorker. He is the husband of Lucy Young Hamilton, a member of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation board of directors. The hardcover book, produced in collaboration with The Cartoon Bank, sells for $50.00, not including tax and shipping.
