High Yield will be relocated for the 2006 breeding season to John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farm near Lexington. His fee will be $7,500.
The 8-year-old son of
Storm Cat has stood at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., since entering stud in 2001. His fee that year was $35,000. He stood this season for $15,000.
High Yield has also shuttled to the Southern Hemisphere, for several years to Coolmore Australia and lately to Haras la Quebrada in Argentina.
His oldest runners are 3-year-olds and include two stakes winners, Amazing Buy and Carol D.
Bred in Kentucky by Brushwood Stable,
High Yield, out of the stakes winning Forty Niner mare Scoop the Gold, raced for Bob and Beverly Lewis in partnership with Michael Tabor and John and Sue Magnier. He was trained by D. Wayne Lukas.
High Yield was a grade I winner at two and three, taking the Hopeful Stakes as a 2-year-old and the following year winning the Toyota Blue Grass and Fountain of Youth Stakes.
