Evil Minister, a graded stakes-winning son of Deputy Minister and a $500,000 Saratoga yearling, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Margaux Farm near Midway, Ky., for a fee of $5,000 as the property of a syndicate.

As a 2-year-old last year, Evil Minister won the Sapling Stakes (gr. III) over Park Avenue Ball at Monmouth Park in his third start, then placed in the Futurity Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park. For his career, Evil Minister won two of 11 races and earned $126,000.

Evil Minister's dam, Evil's Pic (by Piccolino), was a graded winner and a stakes winner four years. She is a half-sister to added-money winner Evil's Shelter.
