Grade I winner
D'wildcat will relocate to Tom Simon's Vinery Stud near Summerfield, Fla., from Windfields Farm near Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The 7-year-old son of
Forest Wildcat will stand for $6,500.
"Windfields and Vinery have been major partners in D'wildcat since his retirement," said Windfields vice president Noreen Taylor. "We are really impressed with his first foal crop."
Four weanlings from that crop this year averaged $55,000.
D'wildcat, a $600,000 Ocala Breeders' Sales 2-year-old, scored graded wins in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes (gr. I), the Churchill Downs Handicap (gr. II), and the Swale Stakes (gr. III) by 10 1/2 lengths for Fog City Stable. He is out of the stakes-placed D'Accord mare D'Enough.
D'wildcat will stand as the property of a syndicate, with Vinery, Windfields, and Fog City retaining a significant interest.
