Jockey John Davila Jr. earned the 2,000th win of his career Friday when he partnered Hold That Glitter to a 3 3/4-length win in the fourth race at Finger Lakes.

Davila, 42, of Puerto Rico, leads the Finger Lakes jockey standings by more than 30 wins as he seeks his fourth consecutive jockey title there. He has twice won Finger Lakes' New York Derby among his 18 career stakes wins.

He had the 6-year-old gelding in front from the start in the $5,000 claiming race for 3-year-olds and up going six furlongs. The 3-5 favorite in the field of 10 drew away on the turn and widened the lead in the stretch while kept to the whip by Davila.

Davila won three races on the Friday card, including his 2,001st victory in the sixth race, a 1 1/4-length win by Wheezer.
