Leroidesanimaux, who won eight consecutive races before finishing a game second in the NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) last month, has been retired to stud at Stonewall Farm near Versailles, Ky.

Raced by Stud TNT and Stonewall Farm Stallions, 'Leroy,' whose name means "King of the Animals," was a three-time grade I victor who won nine of his 13 starts while setting two track records. He was trained by Hall of Famer Bobby Frankel and earned better than $1.5 million in a career that began in his native Brazil. He is a leading contender for an Eclipse Award for best turf performer.

Leroidesanimaux (Candy Stripes--Dissemble, by Ahonoora) took the Citation Handicap, Frank E. Kilroe Mile and the Atto Mile, all grade I affairs, within the past year. The 5-year-old also has three other graded victories to his credit.

"Leroidesanimaux is a strong, beautiful horse and fits the profile of a Stonewall stallion," said farm owner Audrey Haisfield. "Like Medaglia d'Oro, he was a grade I winner who consistently proved himself against the very best competition."

"He was a very, very good horse who was 100% sound," said Frankel. "In fact, I would have loved to have kept him in training another year."

Leroidesanimaux will stand for $30,000 live foal in 2006.
