, sire of prominent second-crop stallion Yes It's True
, will stand the 2006 season at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell's Walmac Farm near Lexington. The 19-year-old son of Raja Baba stood for a time in the 1990s at Walmac before being sent to Florida to stand at Hartley/De Renzo, Walmac South near Ocala.
Is It True, who beat Easy Goer in winning the 1988 Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I), has sired 26 stakes winners and the earners of $17 million. His most recent stakes winner, True Kiss, was an added-money winner Oct. 29.
"Is It True is a proven source of speed, and year after year he gets stakes horses," Jones said. "The success at stud by his son Yes It's True and other members of the Bold Ruler sire line through Raja Baba has heightened breeder interest, and we felt this was the right time to bring him to Kentucky."
Is It True, who was produced from the Proudest Roman mare Roman Rockette, will stand for $5,000.
