Leroidesanimaux, the early betting favorite for the $2,025,000 NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT), will race in bar shoes instead of regular racing plates as originally planned.

The change was made Saturday morning after trainer Bobby Frankel's regular farrier, Ray Amato, made the determination that the horse's feet were too sore for the bar shoes he had been training in to be removed.

Frankel spoke with his exercise rider, Nuno Santos, who told him the horse had gotten over the turf course good in the bar shoes. Amato also told Frankel the shoes should not effect his running.

Leroidesanimaux drew post 11 and will be ridden by John Velazquez. The pair is listed at 7-5 on the morning line.
