Edited press releaseThe National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Breeders' Cup Limited, and Bessemer Trust announced Wednesday that the New York based private wealth management company has made a three year agreement extending its marketing partnership with the NTRA/Breeders' Cup.
As part of the agreement, Bessemer Trust will continue as title sponsor of the $1.5 million Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile championship and as title sponsor of the Bessemer Trust Juvenile Division, a series of 14 graded stakes races held around the country leading to the 1 1/16 mile Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I).
"We have found our Breeders' Cup sponsorship extremely rewarding since it began in 2001, and as a result, have extended our sponsorship for an additional three years," said Robert C. Elliott of Bessemer Trust. "The association between Bessemer Trust and the Breeders' Cup makes great sense because we share many common attributes such as legacy, performance, experience, and strength. And it has certainly increased Bessemer's visibility among Thoroughbred owners and breeders."
"We are delighted that Bessemer Trust has renewed its relationship with the NTRA and Breeders' Cup," said NTRA commissioner and Breeders' Cup president D.G. Van Clief, Jr.
"Bessemer's reputation as the leader in wealth management and high-quality service to its clients continues to be a perfect fit as a marketing partner for the best in Thoroughbred racing."
