Infection Sidelines Alkaased; Out of Turf

Alkaased, winner of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (Fr-I), was scratched out of the John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) due to an infection, according to trainer Luca Cumani.
"He had a bad blood count," Cumani said following Wednesday's post position draw for Saturday's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Belmont Park. "He must have picked up an infection."

Kingmambo, Alkaased has won five of 15 career starts, with seven second-place finishes.
