Greg Norman's Miss Norman, pre-entered in the Alberto VO5 Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), was withdrawn Tuesday after swelling was detected in her right suspensory.

Owner Norman told Breeders' Cup officials it would take about 30 days for the injury to heal.

Trained by Sal Gonzalez, the daughter of Artax has one win and two seconds from five career starts. Following a second in the grade I Matron, the filly placed seventh in the Frizette (gr. I) victory by Folklore. The filly's preparations have been supervised by Rafael Gonzalez, the trainer's brother, and Norman. Sal Gonzalez is with the rest of the stable in California.

The defection is the third out of the Juvenile Fillies since pre-entries were taken Oct. 17. The others withdrawn were Dressed to Kill and Ann Summers Gold.
