Keeneland November Sale Will Include Breeders' Cup Runners and Relatives

Keeneland's November breeding stock sale will offer a wide variety of horses related to runners in the 22nd Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships Saturday, including four of the entrants themselves.

"There are more than three dozen horses in the November breeding stock sale who will either run in the Breeders' Cup or who have close relationships in the championship day of racing," said Geoffrey Russell, Keeneland's director of sales. "It's further proof that the November sale is the most important breeding stock sale in the world, and that Keeneland is the 'ultimate stock exchange' of the world."

Four Breeders' Cup starters -- Ashado, Capeside Lady and Island Fashion in the Distaff and Megahertz in the Filly and Mare Turf -- will be shipped immediately to Keeneland for the November sale after the day of racing at Belmont Park in New York. The auction begins in Lexington on Nov. 7.
