1995 Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) winner Larry The Legend now stands at Warren's Thoroughbred Farm in Hemet after being moved from the shuttered Mira Loma Thoroughbred Farm.
"He just arrived," said Craig Lewis, who trained Larry The Legend. "Mira Loma closed at the end of July, so he got to Warren's about August 1."
His fee remains at $2,500 live foal.
"That was a great moment, one I'll never forget, obviously," Lewis said of Larry The Legend's game head victory over Afternoon Deelites in the Santa Anita Derby. "I visited with the horse right after Del Mar. He looks great and he's got a lot of nice-looking babies. Hopefully, there will be some more (like him)."
Asked if "Larry" remembers him, Lewis said, "He acts like he does, but you never know. He remembers anybody with carrots."
