Distorted Humor's Fee Upped to $150,000

Distorted Humor , who stands at Bill Casner and Kenny Troutt's WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky., is the newest member of the six-figure club. The 12-year-old stallion's fee was bumped to $150,000 from $60,000. The sum currently places Distorted Humor fourth--behind
Storm Cat (at $500,000),
A.P. Indy and
Kingmambo (each at $300,000), and Ghostzapper (at $200,000)--by price for the 2006 season.
Distorted Humor, a son of Forty Niner and fourth on this year's sire list, is represented by such grade I winners as Commentator, Flower Alley, and Fourty Niners Son among his 14 stakes winners of 2005. He also was represented by a $1.1 million Keeneland September yearling.
WinStar also announced that sprint champion
Speightstown will remain at $40,000 and that the fee for Horse of the Year
Tiznow , sire of grade I winner Folklore, has been boosted to $35,000 from $30,000. The fee for
Victory Gallop, leading third-crop sire by lifetime earnings, will be announced later. Victory Gallop stood for $30,000 in 2005.
