Favored Entry Sweeps Top Spots in Busher Stakes

The favored entry of Diversa and Sweep Dreams finished 1-2 Saturday in the $80,300 Busher Stakes at Aqueduct. Diversa won by 4 3/4 lengths in the race for 3-year-old fillies. Another 1 3/4 lengths behind in third was Stop for Schnapps.

John Kimmel-trained Diversa is undefeated in two trips to the post this year. She has won three times in six career starts. Ridden by Joe Bravo and carrying high weight of 122 pounds, Diversa covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.74 on a fast track.

The winning entry returned $3.10 and $2.50 and earned $48,180 for Bohemia Stable and December Hill Farm. There was no show betting. (Chart, Equibase)
